Kenya suspends flights from Italy over Coronavirus

The Kenyan Government has suspended flights from North Italy after Coronavirus outbreak in Milan and Verona.

Through a press statement by the National Emergency response committee on Coronavirus chairmain cabinet Secretary for Health Mutahi Kagwe the suspension takes effective immediately.

“Following consultation with the Italian embassy and stakeholders, the national emergency response committee on Coronavirus has concluded that flights from North Italy, specifically Verona and Milan which usually has direct chartered flights to our coast be suspended effectively 3rd march 2020” – Read part of the statement.

Northern Italy is the largest coronavirus hotspot outside Asia, with around 1,700 cases and 34 deaths reported so far.
