Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) on Saturday announced a drop in fuel prices.
The review shows that the new price of petrol reduced by Ksh 2 per litre and that of diesel reduced by Ksh2.80 per litre. kerosene droped by KSh7.23 per litre.
The effect takes place as from 15th March midnight to 14th April 2020.
“In accordance with Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019, Legal Notice No.196 of 2010 and Legal Notice No. 26 of 2012, EPRA Kenya has calculated the maximum wholesale and retail prices of petroleum products, which will be in force from 15th March to 14th April 2020,” the statement reads.
“The changes in this month’s prices are as a consequence of the average landed cost of imported super petrol decreasing by 3.44 percent from 489.44 US dollars per cubic meter to 472.59 US dollars per cubic meter,” said EPRA in a statement.
