Former Machakos County senator and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Chairman Johnson Muthama has asked the Kamba community not to wait for President Uhuru Kenyatta to endorse Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as the next President of Kenya saying the President had already endorsed Raila Odinga.
Mr Muthama said the best kalonzo could get in that arrangement was to be the Speaker of the National Assembly.
Speaking at Kathithyamaa village in Kangundo Sub-county during the burial of the late Kenneth Nzioka who died after short illness, Mr Muthama urged the Kamba Community to instead join him in UDA in order to ensure their inclusion in the next government.
“Uhuru is going home and some people are still waiting to be endorsed. What are they waiting for and he has already indicated he will support Raila? The seat reaserved for Kalonzo in that arrangement is Speaker of National Assembly.” said Muthama.
He added that it was a mistake for Kalonzo Musyoka to join the Jubilee government. He asked the Kamba community not to accept ‘slavery’.
“Kambas do not accept to be sold into slavery. Pray without ceasing and let God guide us in our choices.” he said.
Mr Muthama said UDA was keen on creating an environment that allows all to realize their potential. He lamented that service delivery in the county had stalled as hospitals had no drugs and other vital supplies.
